My name is Evan Curtis, a Class of 2027 Varsity Kicker at Hill-Murray School, a Benedictine Catholic college-preparatory school in Maplewood, Minnesota. I am a four-year varsity starting kicker and a three-sport athlete in football, hockey, and soccer who prides myself on being disciplined, coachable, and reliable under pressure.

Entering my senior season, the Minnesota Star Tribune’s Strib Varsity selected me as the kicker for the 2026 Preseason Varsity Dream Team. I have also been named Hill-Murray’s Special Teams Player of the Year twice. One of my most memorable moments as a Pioneer came in the Minnesota State Tournament Quarterfinal, when I scored our team’s first six points with 40- and 30-yard field goals.

My kicking training focuses on power, control, directional accuracy, and consistency in both placekicking and kickoffs. This summer, I competed at specialist camps and college camps across the country, winning the Field Goal Competitions at both South Dakota State University and Northwestern University.

I also competed at Chris Sailer Kicking’s TOP 12 Camp in Los Angeles, where I earned a 5-star rating and #29 national ranking, and at Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where I earned a 4.5-star rating and #50 national ranking. I was invited to Hammer Kicking Academy’s TOP 40 Camp after earning my invitation at HKA’s Winter Elite Camp. At Kornblue’s FAB 50, I earned a 4.5-star rating and #20 ranking.

Academics have always been a top priority for me. Being a three-sport athlete has taught me discipline, time management, and how to stay focused while balancing a demanding schedule. I work hard in the classroom and on the field, have maintained Honor Roll throughout high school, and will begin my senior year with a 3.9 GPA. I hope to pursue a STEM major in college.

I value leadership, good character, and setting a positive example even when no one is watching. My goal is to bring the same energy, commitment, and reliability to a college football program that I bring to my teammates and coaches every day. I am excited to continue developing as a kicker, student, and leader, and I look forward to the opportunity to compete at the next level.
